It’s one of the best parties of the year, and it’s happening tonight. It’s the “All White Mistletoe Party” at Abacus – an upscale all white Christmas lounge party.
Come along dressed all in white, or wearing at least one white item, and enjoy a great night of socialising, music and dancing under the stars. A fixture on the annual calendar of events, the All White Mistletoe Party has traditionally been a fundraiser for the Estella Scott Roberts Foundation. This year, part of the proceeds will also be going to the Cayman Islands Cancer Society to help fund the chemotherapy unit.
A huge event, it’s expected to draw more than 500 guests, it’s a chance for everyone in the community to get into the spirit of the season and give something back. Abacus opens its doors wide to the public and welcomes people from all walks of life to join in the festivities.
It’s not a ticketed event, Markus Mueri says, but those attending are asked to make a $10 donation on arrival. One hundred per cent of these donations, along with 10 per cent of the takings that Abacus makes on the night, will go directly to these two great causes.
A sit down dinner is available for those who wish to dine on the night: there is the option of ordering a la carte, or choosing the five-course set menu, for $90. Those choosing the set menu will further benefit the charitable organisations as $20 from every dinner will be donated to them.
DJ Lin will be playing a great mix of old and new hits throughout the evening that will have people dancing the night away and there will be specials on Laurent Perrier bubbly, thanks to Premier Wines.
“The best thing about this party is the people,” Markus says. “It brings together young professionals from every industry and there is just a really cool crowd of people all getting together and having a great night.”
Doors open at 5pm and the party continues until 2am.
