And the Oscar goes to … the Cayman Heart Fund
Three weeks before the world goes Oscar crazy, the glitzy annual Red Dress Gala will be going full-scale Hollywood.
This year’s theme is Oscars, so whether you’re Brad and Angelina or going for classic-style Bogey and Bacall, it’s all about glamour and gorgeousness at the gala, which is one of the biggest fundraisers for the Cayman Heart Fund.
And in case getting dolled up for a great evening of music and entertainment while supporting the fight against heart disease isn’t incentive enough, the best dressed Oscar couple will win three nights at the Hard Rock Resort Hollywood (Florida), courtesy of Cayman Airways and Hard Rock Café Grand Cayman.
This year’s featured act, Ron Adams Entertainment’s Rat Pack, will ensure there are plenty of well known songs and wisecracks from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. The trio’s Rat Pack Tribute Show has won rave reviews in the United States and is now heading to Cayman for the first time.
Mr. Adams has performed twice in Cayman, but both times as Elvis Presley.
The Red Dress Oscar Gala will be held on Friday, 8 February at the Grand Cayman Marriott Breach Resort.
There will be numerous silent auction items up for grabs on the night, including a three-day cruise on Carnival Imagination, a trip for two on Cayman Airways to Miami’s Ritz-Carlton in South Beach, a Reef Resort Residential Club Package in Cayman, a one-night spa stay at the Westin Causarina Cayman Islands, paintings by CE Whitney, Maureen Lazarus, Avril Ward and Nick O’Neil, as well as fabulous jewellery items and spa and gym services.
The evening kicks off at 6.30pm with hors d’eouvres. Entertainment will also be provided by Sea’N’B.
A few tickets still remain. They cost $150 per person or $1,350 per table of 10. To book a ticket, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 916-6324 or 925-1860.
