Two win Taste of Cayman competition

Lianet Hydes and Cindy Abraham were the two lucky winners of Cayman Free Press’ most recent competition.

Lianet and Cindy both won two tickets to this weekend’s Taste of Cayman event at Camana Bay, as well a fabulous gift basket each, featuring two Taste of Cayman T-shirts, Taste of Cayman wine glasses, a bottle of Seven Fathoms Rum, a bottle of wine from Premier Wines & Spirits, a Michael’s Genuine cookbook, a six-pack of Caybrew, as well as a selection of gourmet treats from Celebrations.

Taste of Cayman is organised annually by the Cayman Islands Tourism Association. This year, more than 30 restaurants will have a booth at Taste of Cayman, one of Cayman’s most popular food and wine events.

“Cayman Free Press and Flava magazine are supporters of this year’s Taste of Cayman and we were delighted to have the opportunity to partner with them to offer a Taste of Cayman gift basket through an online competition,” said Jane
van der Bol, executive
director of the tourism association.

Lianet and Cindy’s names were drawn from more than 400 online entries. Cindy said she was thrilled to win the gift basket and loves the community spirit of the event, while Lianet said she was particularly looking forward to all the fabulous food and wine on offer.

The Taste of Cayman, now in its 25th year, takes places this Saturday, 26 January, at Camana Bay’s Festival Green, from 5 to 11.45pm. Tickets are $35 pre-purchased, or $45 on the day.
