Nominations for Open Arms Awards sought

Rotaract Blue Cayman Islands is inviting nominations for its 6th annual Open Arms Awards.

The ceremony will take place on Saturday, 6 July at Luca restaurant to honour caretakers, teachers and others throughout the Cayman Islands who have assisted people with special needs. The event will also recognise people who have excelled in their lives despite their disability.

If you know someone who has gone above and beyond with assisting disabled persons in the community and who should be recognised for their hard work and dedication, complete a nomination form that can be found at the Rotaract Blue website, and submit it to [email protected] The deadline for submissions is 4 May.

Guests at the awards ceremony will enjoy a four-course dinner and the opportunity to win great prizes. A silent auction featuring a wide selection of items will also be held at the ceremony.

Tickets are CI$75 with proceeds to benefit organisations such as the Lighthouse School, Sunrise Adult Training Centre, Maple House, Special Olympics, the Cayman Islands Special Needs Foundation, and the Open Arms Programme which aims to promote non-discrimination for disabled people.
