The Inter-Secondary Schools Track and Field Championships are on this week at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex and one athlete sure to stand out is Joshewa Frederick.
The 15-year-old John Gray High School student excels at football for Cayman Athletic’s youth and senior teams, as well as track. Under coach Gillie Seymour his football skills have flourished.
His mother Lovetta said: “Josh is an all round sportsman. Put him in any sporting event and he comes out on top.
“He has the talent to be a pro footballer and he will play any position, but his favourite is in midfield. His main ambition in life is to play football professionally.”
Joshewa said: “I began running track with coach Tyrone Yen when I was 8. I have records in inter-primary and been overseas representing Cayman, but my main sporting love is football.”
