The 1964 movie “Marnie” will be shown at the Dart Auditorium on Monday, 4 March. The movie stars Tippi Hedren, Sean Connery and Diane Bake and is a psychological thriller based on the novel of the same name by Winston Graham.
Lead character Mark marries Marnie although she is a habitual thief and has serious psychological problems, and tries to help her confront and resolve them. The movie has been described as Hitchcock’s “last masterpiece”, although at the time it was nothing more than a moderate box office success, grossing $7 million on a budget of $3 million.
It starts at 7pm and there’s a suggested donation of $5 for refreshments.
