Letter to the Editor
The purpose of this letter is to acknowledge and commend the Cayman Hospital Health Services for the great medical treatments we received in both 2009 and 2012. My wife had an incident at Stingray City that required an ambulance to transport her to the hospital for treatment of an injury to her hand caused by a stingray.
She received the expert help of the Emergency Room staff and Dr. Mohanty and had to spend two nights as an in-patient for pain treatment of her hand. Fortunately, her hand healed from the stingray and she wishes to thank the hospital staff and doctors for the special treatment.
Further, I would like to also thank the Cayman Hospital for the treatment I received in 2012 for a blood clot in my arm caused by surgery that I received back in the United States. The blood clot developed while I was on vacation here in Grand Cayman. I was treated for blood clots by the ER and then had to spend the next 10 days in the hospital for further treatment of the blood clot. Needless to say, it was not a very pleasant vacation but I was very fortunate to have such good treatment from the staff and I have recovered from this condition.
We have spent the last five weeks here on our 2013 vacation and have had a wonderful time. Amen!
Again, thank you so much Cayman Hospital Health Services and to all the staff (including the East End Clinic) who helped us in those two ordeals.
We look forward to returning to the Grand Cayman next year and we will try to stay “clear” of your hospital (I say this with a smile), as we know it is there if we need it. God Bless You.
