The Dominos Warriors look to solidify their top billing in local basketball.
Dominos play the Silver Bullets this Sunday, 28 April, at 7.30pm at Camana Bay’s Arts and Recreation Centre. The contest is part of round eight in Division One of the Cayman Islands Basketball Association 2013 National Men’s League.
The Warriors, 4-1 according to the last available standings, are looking to complete a regular season sweep of the Bullets, 2-3. The league leaders won their first two encounters by slip margins, 77-73 last month and 71-68 earlier this month.
Dominos have relied on consistently stellar showings from Borislav Djordjic and Vanrick Felix. Djordjic led the team with 39 points and six 3-pointers and 23 rebounds in the first match and notched 22 points and 20 rebounds in the second. Felix scored 10 points and 17 points in games one and two, respectively.
The Bullets made things interesting behind Brandon Glasgow, Adam Milburn and Rohan Webster. Glasgow posted 33 points, Milburn nabbed 41 points and Webster had 20 points, over the two games.
Sunday’s other contest pits 4-1 Esso Blazers against 0-5 George Town Sports Club at 5.45pm. There’s also a Division Two clash as 1-3 Esso Blazers face 4-2 team Philippines at 4pm.
