Atlantic Building Consultants and BCQS form alliance

Atlantic Building Consultants Ltd. and BCQS International have formed a strategic alliance, designed to provide the companies with the manpower and resources to undertake projects of any scale and complexity throughout the region.

The core business of both companies comprises project management, quantity surveying, development management and property development consultancy, whilst BCQS also undertakes appraisal and real estate investment analysis work. Together, the companies have strong links to the major lending institutions in Bermuda and throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.

It is anticipated that the alliance will provide a broad appeal to a number of financial and institutional clients.

“The association gives us a depth of resources that will allow us to successfully execute even the largest of projects and also expands upon the range and diversification of services we can offer to clients,” said Tim Berry, ABC Ltd. president and managing director. “BCQS has worked in over 30 countries in the Caribbean and Latin America and is the largest and most respected practice of its type in the region. Working with BCQS, we are confident that the combined property and development advice we can offer to our clients, will be second to none”.

Sanjay Amin, Director of BCQS based in Barbados said, “We already have a number of successful associations with companies in the Bahamas, Jamaica, Guyana and Colombia, so Bermuda was the logical final step in terms of completing our coverage of the Caribbean/Atlantic region”.

Established in 2007, Atlantic Building Consultants Ltd has quickly built a portfolio of completed projects with an aggregate value in excess of $500 million. BCQS has been based in the Caribbean region since 1969 and maintains offices in Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, St Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago and the Turks and Caicos islands. In 2010, the company made the strategic decision to expand into Latin America with the opening of its Brazil office in Sao Paulo.

Liam Day, managing director of BCQS based in Cayman, said, “Over the next several months we will strategise with ABC Ltd. and promote our new alliance so as to fully inform our mutual clientele of the opportunities that will arise because of our new association.”
