Foster’s recalls canned chicken sausage

Foster’s Food Fair IGA is recalling a chicken sausage product.

The store issued a voluntary recall of 4.6 ounce cans of Libby’s Chicken Vienna Sausages due to quality issues.

The UPC codes on the affected product is 03900008669 and applies to sausage with best before dates of 18 September, 2015, and 25 September, 2015.

A statement from Foster’s released Friday, 14 June, indicated all the affected products had been removed from the store’s shelves.

“We encourage all customers who have purchased this product to return it to any Foster’s Food Fair IGA store for a full refund. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, however the safety of our customers is our top priority,” the statement read.
