GlamRock raises $3,000

Camana Bay was buzzing with live music and Glamour Booths on Saturday, June 8, for the first ever GlamRock Fundraiser for Acts of Random Kindness.

The Suite Elite band entertained the crowd while attendees had their hair styled and makeup applied by The Glam Factor & Le Visage. There was also eyebrow threading and manicures by Sameena’s Beauty Centre.

The sale of $25 raffle tickets and donations on the night raised $3,000 for the medical needs of 2-year-old Emmis Ebanks, who has a mouth tumor, and 2-year-old Beau Sheilds, who is in remission from a brain tumour.

“Thank you to everyone who helped make GlamRock a success; the wheels are in motion for future events to grow from strength to strength,” said GlamRock’s organizer, Pam Burgess of The Suite Elite Band.

Prizes were also given to lucky winners.

Ms Burgess handed over a $100 voucher from BedSide Manor, a $150 voucher and gifts from Lilly Pulitzer, a hair makeover from The Glam Factor and a makeup session from Le Visage. Iltug Hazarhun was the lucky winner of the raffle and he gave the gifts to his fiancé, Irina Kamenko.
