Joey Ebanks pleads not guilty

Trial set for June 2014

Joseph Fitzgerald Ebanks entered pleas of not guilty to 17 charges of dishonesty on Friday morning and had a trial date set for 9 June, 2014.

The charges relate to incidents that occurred while the defendant served with the Electricity Regulatory Authority. Most allege obtaining property by deception.

The charges cover a period between September 2012 and 31 March 2013.

Justice Michael Mettyear inquired whether an earlier slot was not available, but was told it was not. The trial is scheduled for two weeks.
