Dutch head back

PSV Eindhoven will be on the hunt again for Cayman talent.

The Holland-based club is sending down youth coaches for the annual Dutch football camp. Endorsed by the Cayman Islands Football Association, Camana Bay will host the action from Monday, 29 July, to Friday, 2 August.

The camp takes place each day from 8.30am to 12.30pm. It caters to kids aged 6-18 with registration at $150, which includes a ball and T-shirt. The focus is expected to be on football fundamentals, including passing, defending and shooting.

Camana Bay is hosting the Dutch contingent for the second straight year, with the 2012 edition attracting some 83 participants. Esteemed Dutch coach Roy Wilhelm, the face of the camp over the years, is expected to return.

It should be noted that the Dutch camps have opened the door for youngsters to play in Europe. Among the recent beneficiaries are Naoki Montoya, Jamaal Seymour and Martin Webb.
