U15 squad scores online presence

Cayman football wants to give its bright young players maximum exposure.

The Cayman Islands Football Association has launched its redesigned website, caymanfootball.com, just in time for the start of the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football Under-15 Tournament.

The new association website is focused on providing a platform for football fans and officials alike to obtain information about the association, football leagues and game results. The redesign incorporates bold colours and completely new navigational tools, including multimedia features that incorporate You Tube videos, Facebook and Twitter feeds and will eventually include merchandising options.

Currently, the website focuses solely on providing details on the CONCACAF Under-15 tournament but following the competition, the website will be fully populated with all league groupings and game statistics.

“Visitors to the new website will experience a user-friendly resource,” said association first vice president Bruce Blake. “This site does an outstanding job of compiling football-related materials and makes access to information easy and will eventually provide a comprehensive view of the association and all supported football leagues.”

The new website further solidifies the association’s focus of developing and supporting football. Through the site, the association will be able to highlight the organisation’s values, projects, beneficiaries and sponsors.

The CONCACAF Under-15 tournament features 24 teams competing in Grand Cayman on 13-25 August. Cayman is in Group A against Aruba, Bahamas, Bermuda, St. Marteen and the US Virgin Islands. Cayman’s first game is on Tuesday, 13 August, at 7.30pm against St. Marteen at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex.
