A woman walking home Friday night in George Town was robbed after a man jumped out of from behind some roadside bushes and snatched her purse, police said.
Authorities received a 911 call around 10:30 p.m. after a woman said her purse was snatched and some money was taken during an incident on Dr. Roy’s Drive, according to a news release issued by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service.
No injuries were reported, police said.
The assailant, described as a tall skinny black male wearing jeans and a red hoodie, was last seen heading on foot toward Shedden Road, police said.
