Lawyers Sara Collins and Morven McMillan, co-editors and contributors to International Trust Disputes, are the co-keynote speakers at Mourant Ozannes’ international trusts and private client conference on Friday, the firm has announced.
Before her retirement in 2011, Ms Collins worked in private practice as a trusts and private client litigator and adviser for 17 years. She appeared regularly before the courts of the Cayman Islands in leading trust cases of that time and as an expert witness on Cayman Islands law in proceedings in New York, London, the Bahamas and Singapore. She is a member of the Cayman Islands Human Rights Commission and a board member of the Cayman Islands’ Monetary Authority.
Ms McMillan leads Mourant Ozannes’ international trusts and private client team in the Cayman Islands and has a mixed contentious and non-contentious trusts practice. Prior to joining Mourant Ozannes in 2010, she led Charles Russell’s trusts and fiduciary disputes team in London. Ms McMillan is top-ranked in Chambers Global 2013, where she is described as “the best in the business.”
The conference is from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.
