Three people pleaded not guilty Tuesday to handling stolen goods and one man pleaded not guilty to burglary and handling charges relating to air-conditioning units.
Magistrate Valdis Foldats set their trial for two days, starting Oct. 1.
Andre Carroll Woodman is accused of burglary at the Cayman Contractors store between June 15 and 17, 2013. Items stolen included 33 air-conditioning units and tools, with a total value of $29,976.
A second count on the same charge alleges handling stolen goods between June 16 and July 7, 2013.
The three people charged with handling four boxes containing air-conditioning units, knowing or believing them to be stolen, are Omar Badou Robinson, Dona Tatum-Bennett and David Clare. The handling was said to have taken place between June 16 and June 27, 2013. In setting the trial date, the magistrate indicated that he was looking for two clear days in a row in the event that the matter carried over.
