Little League winds up season with awards ceremonies

Little League plans to honor its top players.

The Cayman Islands Little League Association is hosting its season-ending games and awards presentations on June 16 at the Field of Dreams. The association is marking the end of its 25th Little League season, which featured free ball programs for kids over a number of age groups in 2014.

For T-Ball, the all-star game takes place at 8:30-9:30 a.m. on fields one, two and three with the awards ceremony under the tent from 9:35 a.m. until 10 a.m. In the Pony division, the final playoff game and exhibition matches take place on fields one, two and three at 9:35-11 a.m. with the awards ceremony under the tent from 11:05 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. For Single A, exhibition contests featuring all teams take place on fields one and two from 11:05 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. with the awards ceremony at 12:20-12:50 p.m. under the tent.

Kickball fun games are scheduled for 11:05 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. on fields three and four.

Girls softball has an exhibition contest from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. on field one with the awards ceremony at 2:05-2:30 p.m. under the tent. The Double A division has its all-star game from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. on field two with the awards ceremony at 2:05-2:30 p.m. under the tent. Triple A stages its exhibition games featuring all teams takes place from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. on fields three and four with the awards ceremony at 2:05-2:30 p.m.

The season-ending raffle will take place under the tent from 3 p.m.

Association president Jeff Pouchie and/or baseball commissioner Rob Harris will serve as master of ceremonies.
