CINICO is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Cayman and a wide cross-section is included in the celebrations.
In addition to health screenings conducted last week at the Government Administration Building and more planned for the CINICO office next week, the organization is hosting two 5k walk/runs.
The first one will be held this Saturday in Cayman Brac and the other will be the following Saturday, June 28 in Grand Cayman.
The Brac event will begin in front of CINICO’s newly established office in Stake Bay and will feature three loops of around a mile each.
Registration for the event is $10 for all and includes a T-shirt and refreshments.
Children are encouraged to join their parents for the walk/run and are welcome to do as many of the loops as they like.
CINICO Chief Executive Officer Lonny Tibbetts will be there for the 5k, not only encouraging everyone along the route but also doing it himself.
He said, “The purpose of this event is to get people out and about and also to make them aware of the benefits of regular exercise to their health.
“The Cayman Brac route is pristine and can be used as part of a regular routine or someone’s personal commitment to improving their health though these activities.
“CINICO is very interested in the health of our members and the entire Cayman community and getting out and moving more is key in improving the health of our nation.”
