The CFA Society Cayman Islands will host the Cayman Investment Forum on Oct. 30 at the Marriott Beach Resort.
Swiss investor Marc Faber will be the keynote speaker. He publishes a monthly investment newsletter “The Gloom Boom & Doom” report, and is known for his “contrarian” investment approach.
Mr. Faber is the author of several books, including “Tomorrow’s Gold – Asia’s Age of Discovery,” which was first published in 2002 and highlighted future investment opportunities around the world. He is also a regular contributor to several leading financial publications around the world.
Other speakers include Nick Chamie, Scotiabank chief investment officer, who will present a global investment outlook; Brian Scott, chief investment strategist with Vanguard, who will address considerations for active and passive investing; and Lawrence Speidell, chief investment officer with Frontier Market Asset Management, the sponsor of the Frontier Market Select Fund, which invests in frontier stock markets around the world.
The event, which includes lunch and a cocktail and networking event, begins at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $125 for general admission and $75 for members of CFA Cayman.
