St. Ignatius Christmas drawing winners

Local physician Obinna Eleweanya won the top cash prize of $25,000 from the raffle drawing during the St. Ignatius Catholic Church and School Christmas Concert and Fundraiser, held last Wednesday. 

The other cash prize winners were Michele Mogg ($2,500) and Thomas Gribbin (US$2,500). 

The Christmas Concert and drawing is the primary annual fundraiser for St. Ignatius, with proceeds going to the school and churches in Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac. The fundraiser is audited by KPMG accountants. 

Winners of US$300 Cayman Airways gift vouchers were Gladys Prince, Jered Holmes, Catherine Hinds, Andre Espeut and Neil Clements. 

Winners of $50 gift vouchers to LUCA or Ragazzi restaurants were Brenda McLay, Brian Morain, Laura Cockhill, Art Ursua, Wendy Ann George, Roderick Dhon, Bethea Christian, Galina Collins, Alessandro Camatarri, Burns Bodden, Wendy Thomas, Soledad Crux. 

Winners of gift sets (including a shopping bag and CDs from Hi Tide and Missionaries of the Poor, valued at $50) were Ammoy Gentlos, Nicholas Wight, Stewart Connelly, Chester Osting and Greg Elcock. 

Additionally, Marie Hunter won $1,000 for selling the winning ticket to Dr. Eleweanya; Lazarus Moraes won $1,000 for selling the most tickets; and Maxine Thompson won $500 for selling the second most tickets. 

Winners may collect their prizes from the St. Ignatius Church Office weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring the winning ticket and a photo ID. All prizes must be claimed before Friday, Jan. 30.
