The Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman has new officers and board members.
At an Oct. 4 meeting, Daniella McGowan was installed as the club’s president, succeeding Tonicia Williams.
“Today I am honored to be installed as president of the Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman and to serve our community and children alongside a group of some of the most dedicated and passionate people,” Ms. McGowan said.
“I’m excited and enthusiastic about beginning a new journey with you all for the next year. I commit myself to helping build a better and stronger community.”
Other officers inducted at the ceremony were Martina Jackson, president-elect; Nicola Murray, vice president; Linda Chapman-Key, secretary; Ruud van der Pluijm, treasurer; Martin Couch, assistant treasurer; and Clement Lai, Kadi Merren-Pentney, Marnu van Rensburg, Monique Bush and Venesha McLean as directors.
Ms. Chapman-Key received the Kiwanian of the Year award for her dedication to the club and the children of Cayman.
Outgoing President Ms. Williams was presented with the President’s Award for her leadership during her presidency.
