A 16-year-old male was arrested last week in connection with an accident on the George Town waterfront where a car was driven into an abandoned house, according to police.

The teen was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident and driving without being licensed. He has been released on police bail.

Police said the crash happened late on April 6 when a Honda Civic with three people riding in it veered across North Church Street and slammed into the abandoned home at 127 North Church Street.

Police said the driver fled before police arrived. The two passengers in the Honda were seriously hurt. Both remained hospitalized Monday awaiting surgery.
