Some of the world’s best known chefs will appear at next year’s Cayman Cookout, organizers announced this week.

Eric Ripert, Anthony Bourdain, José Andrés and Emeril Lagasse will headline the ninth annual food festival Jan. 12-15.

The weekend of food and drink will include cooking demonstrations, tastings, tours, dinners, pairings and other epicurean experiences. Many of the events will take place at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.

Hosted by the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism and Time Inc.’s Food & Wine, the event was created by chef Ripert, co-owner of Le Bernardin in New York City and Blue by Eric Ripert at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.

Among the other chefs who will be making appearances at the festival are Christina Tosi, Terrance Brennan, Daniel Humm, Tim Love and Roland Passot, along with famed mixologists Charles Joly and Bob Peters.

More than 40 events are scheduled, including culinary demonstrations by the chefs, a reserve tasting on a private jet excursion from Grand Cayman to Cayman Brac with New Zealand winery Craggy Range owner Terry Peabody, a barefoot barbecue under the stars with celebrity chefs at the grill, a catamaran trip, a cook-off brunch, and some golfing/Dom Pérignon Champagne enjoyment.

Online (only) ticket sales for Cayman Cookout 2017 will open Saturday, Oct. 1, at www.caymancookout.com.
