Chiropractor’s sentencing postponed

The sentencing hearing for Cayman chiropractor Jemal Khan has been postponed to Oct. 26. It had been set for Oct. 12.

Khan, who pleaded guilty on Sept. 30 to nine counts of indecent assault on female patients, remains in custody.

He also pleaded guilty to two counts of insulting behavior, taking photographs of individuals without their consent. The offenses occurred between 2013 and 2016.

A court memorandum indicated that the matter was adjourned because of lack of time in the court diary, and because of the schedules of defense attorney Laura Larner and Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Patrick Moran.
