The staff and students of West Bay’s Sir John A. Cumber Primary School had a special assembly on Wednesday, Oct. 19, to bid farewell to teacher Rebekah Jefferson, who has been the school’s music teacher for 12 years.

The event featured musical renditions and tributes from students, and the PTA representative president Vanda Powery expressed appreciation to Ms. Jefferson for the indelible impact that she has made in the lives of the students.

After taking in numerous performances, Ms. Jefferson then led the entire assembly in the singing of one of her favorite songs, “Be Bold, Be Strong.”

Ms. Jefferson is taking a break to pursue personal goals, and Principal Paul Samuel, staff and students all wished her well as she embarked on a new chapter of her life.
