The annual Arie Smith Football Camp for boys and girls ages 6 and up will take place on Monday, Dec. 19, at Ed Bush Stadium from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration begins from 7:30 a.m. that morning.
The camp is free. Lunch will be provided thanks to Subway and Nature’s Bakery, organizers said in a press release, and the first 150 to register receive a camp shirt.
Special guest will be Allie Long, professional footballer for the U.S. Women’s National team and the Portland Thorns. She will discuss her journey, answer questions and do a skills demonstration. The camp will conclude with her signing autographs and taking pictures.
Organizer Arie Smith, founder of the Dream Out Loud Foundation, thanked “the great companies that come on board and support my initiatives every year,” as well as the Cayman Islands Football Association, Cayman Airways and the Ministry of District Administration, Tourism and Transport.
