Just Da Tip won the B Division championship, That Ace Though won the C Division, and Balls in Yo Face won the A Division in the Sunday Beach Volleyball League.

Here is a recap of the finals last weekend.

B Division

As regular pool play got under way, Just Da Tip and Notorious DIG had three consecutive wins each. Sandy’s Angels and I’d Hit That B went on to join the top competitors in the semis with their 2-1 record. Sandy’s Angels defeated Notorious DIG  21-17; meanwhile, Just Da Tip beat I’d Hit That B, 21-14, and I’d Hit That B defeated Notorious DIG, 22-20, to take third place.

In the championship game, Sandy’s Angels were determined not to let history repeat itself, as they had lost to Just Da Tip 21-16 during pool play. Despite their best efforts, Sandy’s Angels lost to Just Da Tip,  22-20.

C Division

Is It In? and Kiss Our Aces earned their spot in the semifinals with a record of 3-0. With a record of 2-1, Unprotected Sets and That Ace Though also secured a place among the top four teams. However, in the semis, Is It In? were defeated by That Ace Though, 21-12. Kiss Our Aces lost to Unprotected Sets, 21-19.

In the consolation final, Kiss Our Aces defeated Is It In? 21-17.

In the championship game, the two underdogs from the top four battled it out for the title. That Ace Though topped Unprotected Sets 21-11.

A Division

Balls In Yo Face dominated Friends Circle in a best of five series, winning 21-15, 21-12, and 21-14.

The Cayman Islands Volleyball Federation then decided to give Balls in Yo Face some “real competition” just for fun and a few prizes, a press release said, The winning team from the B Division, Just Da Tip, and Balls in Yo Face took to the court in a best of three series. Just Da Tip won the second set and defeated Balls in Yo Face in the third set to 15 points, claiming the prizes.
