The Cayman Islands Athletic Association presented a 15-member track and field team Wednesday that will compete in the 46th CARIFTA games in Curacao.

The Cayman team includes two girls and six boys under 18, and three girls and four boys under 20. They will compete alongside 650 other young athletes April 14-17.

Team members Lacee Barnes, Daneliz Thomas and Dominic Dyer took home a total of five medals from the 2016 CARFITA Games in Grenada.

Assistant Coach Tyrone Yen said he anticipated a good showing this year from Cayman’s team.

The games will be broadcast live on television in 10 Caribbean countries through Flow Sports.
