Students at Savannah Primary School had lots of fun celebrating the many members of the British Commonwealth last month.

To mark Commonwealth Day on March 13, each classroom represented a different country in the Commonwealth, creating informative bulletin boards about their respective countries, as well as getting into the spirit by dressing up in national costumes.

“The focus remained on numeracy as the students went to each classroom to do numeracy activities and games,” said school principal Carol Nyack.

The children also were paid a visit by Swanky band, one of Cayman’s musical groups keeping local traditional music alive.
