Following his admission as an attorney in the Grand Court, Alistair Abbott has joined the Cayman litigation department of Forbes Hare.

Mr. Abbott had been a partner in Forbes Hare’s British Virgin Islands litigation team since 2013 after he joined from the firm’s London office, where he worked on insolvency matters, commercial disputes, and contentious trusts.

Before joining Forbes Hare, he worked at Allen & Overy, Addleshaw Goddard, Slaughter & May, and SNR Denton in the U.K.

Chris Young, head of Forbes Hare’s Cayman litigation team, said, “We are delighted to welcome someone with Alistair’s expertise and experience to the Cayman team. He brings some excellent English and BVI experience that I am sure he will put to good use for the firm and its clients.

“Forbes Hare is growing in Cayman following the addition of Sonia Starvis and Bhavesh Patel last year, and we are sure that Alistair will play a key role in the future of the firm in the Cayman Islands.”
