Letter: Gift appreciated by visitors

On a recent visit to Cayman with my daughter, her husband and their three children, we were walking on the street after shopping.

My daughter stopped at the market to check out if they had any lobster and, if so, how much? The gentleman said yes, he would give her some!

We were not sure what he meant and asked, “how much?” He said, “nothing,” and that he would give her some for the family. He said it was the Cayman way and, truly, that said a lot.

We have been coming to Cayman for many years and every time we have been fortunate to run into many, many wonderful people! I just wanted to write and give him a big “thank you” and acknowledge that his generosity did not go unnoticed.
