BNP BBQ tops Cayman Auto in coed flag matchup

Chris Bennett and Jordan Cacho are key members of their teams.

The battle for a place in the Flag Football semifinals officially kicked off Friday, April 27, at Ed Bush Field.

Cayman Auto lost to BnP 19-13 in an exciting overtime in the first game on field one. Baron Solomon scored the touchdown, and the conversion point scored by Peter Whittaker sealed the win.

On field two, Deloitte gave Tribe Tattoo no chance to score and ended the game 27-0.

In the games scheduled for 8:30 p.m., Popeye’s defeated Bogle Insurance 25-0, while Valumed gave Kimpton Seafire just one chance to score a touchdown and ended the game with a 32-6 win.

The last set of regular season games starts Friday, which means that playoff seeding hangs in the balance for all teams.

Burger Shack still leads the east with an undefeated record, while Greenhouse dominates the west, also with a perfect record.

The semifinals are set for May 11. Games start at 7:30 p.m. at the Ed Bush Sports Complex in West Bay.
