The five-time Emmy Award-winning star of “Frasier” is coming to Cayman. Kelsey Grammer will be the guest speaker at the annual charity dinner at the Flowers Sea Swim to raise funds for the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre.

The fundraising dinner is scheduled for June 14 at the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort.

The Cayman Islands Crisis Centre will be raising funds for its “Raise the Roof” campaign to construct a new shelter designed to house victims of domestic violence. Ania Milanowska, executive director of the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre, released an official statement about the dinner.

“We are excited to officially announce Kelsey Grammer as our celebrity speaker at this year’s gala,” Ms. Milanowska said. “Mr. Grammer is an advocate against domestic violence and we’re honored to have him speak at this event in support of our organization.”

A live and silent auction will take place at the dinner with all proceeds going to the Crisis Centre.

Dara Flowers Burke, director of the Flowers Group, said she is looking forward to yet another edition of the Sea Swim.

“Each year we hold this gala to feature the visiting Olympians and to use as a fundraising platform for a local charity,” she said. “The Cayman Islands Crisis Centre is the beneficiary for the Flowers Sea Swim, Walk & Watch and this gala. This charity contributes so much to the local community and we are happy the funds raised from these events will help the Crisis Centre reach their goal to build a new shelter.”

Tickets are now on sale for $150 per person or a table for $1,500. To purchase tickets or for sponsorship information, contact Michelle Lockwood at [email protected]

  1. Kelsey Grammar. With donations going to a Crisis Centre. He caused a tremendous crisis in his family when he impregnated his current wife while married to his then wife, Camille Grammar, mother of his 2 children. He certainly “raised his roof”. Where are your ethics, Ania Milanowska??????. Are you kidding. Better rethink this offensive adulterer to be a SPEAKER. If I were any of the women from the Crisis Centre in the audience who have been victimized, I would walk out.
