Cayman Islands Football Association Boys Under 11

A football first occurred Saturday at the Annex field as league newcomers 345 FC B claimed the Cayman Islands Football Association Boys Under 11 title with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Future SC.

Danny Lyne’s second half strike was enough to see off the boys from West Bay and secure the title on the last day of the Boys Under 11 regular season.

The 1-0 win capped off a remarkable undefeated season for the newcomers, and parents and players alike celebrated the momentous occasion following the game.

In other Boys Under 11 games, 345 FC A downed George Town SC 4-0 thanks to three goals from Christo Durrant and a strike from Chaz Ruddick.

Academy SC Lionfish squeezed by East End United FC 3-2 with Tamux Douglas and Ajani Carnegie erasing a two-goal deficit before Kaleb Barboram settled this encounter with a thunderous close-range shot midway through the second half. East End’s Derrick Russell and Taegan Williams scored very early in the game to give their team a 2-0 advantage, but they could not prevent Academy’s comeback.

In the lone Boys Under 17 game, Future SC defeated Sunset FC 3-1, thanks to goals from Alexander Clarke, Barry Dre Tibbetts and Sabastien Bent. Oisin McGeough scored Sunset’s goal.
