Police on Tuesday released the name of the man killed when a tire exploded while being filled using an industrial compressor Sunday. He was Crisanto Dizon, 54, a Filipino national living in the Cayman Islands.
Mr. Dizon was killed shortly before 4 p.m. at a work site off Lake View Drive in Bodden Town.
Two other men were injured in the incident. They were taken to hospital and later released.
The incident is being jointly investigated by police and health and safety officers from the Department of Labour and Pensions.
