Canadian corporate lawyer joins Ogier

New partner at Ogier, David McIntyre

Canadian corporate lawyer David McIntyre has joined Ogier’s Cayman team.

He has more than 25 years’ experience and was most recently a senior partner in Norton Rose Fulbright’s Toronto office. In addition to his time in private practice, Mr. McIntyre also held senior, in-house roles with Norton Rose Fulbright, and Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt.

He has been recognized as a leading practitioner in IFLR 1000, Who’s Who Legal, Best Lawyers, Lexpert and Chambers Global, and has extensive experience in international transactions, particularly relating to the natural resources and commodity sectors.

His new role will be split between Ogier’s Cayman corporate and commercial legal team, and the firm’s director services team. Mr. McIntyre’s admission to the Cayman Bar is pending.

Bradley Kruger, a partner in Ogier’s Cayman corporate and commercial team, said the firm continues to see significant activity within the natural resources and commodity sectors where the international nature of the operations and assets means that offshore structuring is routinely employed.
