Stormy skies did nothing to dampen the spirits of Harbour Walk and International Realty Group (IRG) executives who joined Minister Joey Hew on Tuesday for the Harbour Walk groundbreaking ceremony in Grand Harbour.

Harbour Walk, which will feature shops, offices, restaurants, bars, a café and apartments, is scheduled for completion in July 2021. The Harbour Walk site is located between Hurley’s supermarket and Periwinkle.

The development is expected to feature a total of 28 retail and restaurant spaces encompassing 30,000 square feet, along with 62 one- and two-bed apartments on the upper floors. It also offers two floors of Class A office space.

Anytime Fitness has been announced as the first tenant in Harbour Walk Retail, with a number of other companies in final negotiations.

“This destination location will be a very positive addition to the Grand Harbour area, bringing in amenities and services which aren’t currently available off of the Seven Mile Beach corridor,” said Jeremy Hurst of International Realty Group.

The development will also feature a rooftop jogging track, open-air gym and swimming pool, as well as a wine and tapas bar.
