Visitors to Health City in East End can now avail themselves  of more than healthcare.

The complex includes new residential quarters for staff and visitors, along with a new arcade for small shops and offices that are slowly being occupied by local businesses. One of those is Shop-Right.

Owner Michelle Mehta celebrated the opening of the store at Heron Place, Health City, on 4 July.

“The Health City location is the perfect venue for my new store,” Metha said, especially since a large percentage of the hospitals doctors, nurses and technical staff are looking for Indian, Thai and Asian products, “which I specialise in”.

Residents of East End are also availing of the store, one of only a few in the eastern districts.

“We have been in the small grocery business for some 10 years,” Metha said, “so we know our customers’ needs. Our other location is on Walkers Road, across from Vigoro Nursery.”

Along with the usual groceries, the store also offers a selection of greeting cards, sweets, ice cream, beer, liquor, automobile accessories, souvenirs, and patties.

For hospital staff or visitors, there are also fresh sandwiches and sodas, as well as microwave soups, noodles and gourmet frozen dinners, and non-prescription drugs and toiletries.
