Man shot in George Town

A man remained in critical but stable condition at hospital Saturday morning following a shooting in George Town Friday night, according to a police statement.

The man, whose name has not been released, is being treated for several gunshot injuries police said.

The incident happened just after 8:30pm on Shedden Road.

Officers were dispatched by the 911 after it was reported that shots were fired at a location on the George Town street.

The injured man was transported to the hospital suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

The matter is being investigated by CID.

Police said detectives are encouraging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
