Cayman Brackers hit the water to celebrate lifting of hard curfew

Many restrictions were lifted last week on Cayman Brac after a large percentage of the island’s population tested negative for COVID-19.

Once given the green light, islanders were quick to take to the water and return to some sense of life as it was. Soon, the Brac’s waters were busy with families fishing, boating and enjoying the sea for the first time in weeks.

Life isn’t entirely back to normal in the Brac, however, and many public health regulations remain. Only two individuals may board a boat at a time and gatherings must be limited to no more than 25 people. While the hard curfew there has been lifted on Sundays, the nighttime curfew remains from 8pm-5am.
