Butterfield Bank announced that from Monday, 22 Nov., its Camana Bay branch will close until further notice.
A spokersperson said the current COVID-19 situation has resulted in a temporary staff shortage but the bank expects to reopen the Camana Bay banking centre soon.
The bank’s branches at Governor Square, Midtown Plaza and Butterfield Place will continue to operate under normal hours of 9am-4pm Monday to Friday, though Butterfield Place will be open until 4:30pm on Friday.
The bank said in a press release that to protect members of the public and employees, capacity remains reduced, and customers must continue to wear a mask and follow all other COVID-19 guidelines when visiting Butterfield branches.
To reduce wait times, people should utilise Butterfield’s alternate banking channels, using any Butterfield ATM, online or mobile services, if possible, the bank said.
In addition, anyone who wants to make deposits can continue to use any Butterfield ATMs or commercial drop boxes at Butterfield Place, Camana Bay, Governors Square or Midtown Plaza.
The bank’s other services continue to be available as normal.
