Cayman ballers Charlene Seymour, Jamie Rankin-Maize and Neandra Morgan-Forbes are set to make their debut on the basketball court as freshmen at St. Benedict’s Preparatory School in Newark, New Jersey.

Fellow Caymanian Arleny Ebanks is also set for her first basketball appearance at Baton Rouge Community College in Louisiana.

Seymour, Rankin-Maize and Morgan-Forbes will be part of history as members of the first girls’ basketball team in St. Benedict’s 153-year existence, where previously only boys competed.

Ebanks, who stands 6 foot 6 inches, will be looking to climb the ranks at Baton Rouge, as she pursues her dream of one day playing in the US Women’s National Basketball Association.

Cory McGee, national youth development basketball coach, stated in a Facebook post that he was pleased to see his players make the teams at their respective colleges.
