Police arrested a 72-year-old man following an altercation in which another man was struck with a beer bottle and suffered multiple wounds on his arm.
The incident occurred shortly before 5:30pm, on Tuesday, 4 Jan. at an address on Shedden Road, George Town.
Police said when they spoke to the men at the scene, both appeared to be intoxicated.
They arrested the 72-year-old man, of West Bay, on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm. He was subsequently granted bail, pending further investigation.
