Police have arrested a 30-year-old man suspected of involvement in several recent robberies.
He was arrested on Wednesday, 13 April, during a police operation in Boilers Road, George Town, involving uniform officers, the Firearms Response Unit, and K-9, with the support of the Air Operations Unit.
A statement issued by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service on Thursday said that, during the operation, officers had approached the wanted man, who attempted to evade them in a vehicle.
The vehicle was stopped and the George Town man was arrested on suspicion of robbery, in relation to recent robberies, and aggravated burglary, in relation to a historic burglary. He was also arrested for traffic offences committed as he attempted to evade police.
The RCIPS said the man remained in custody Thursday as investigations continue.
