Police arrested the 51-year-old man, of West Bay, on 1 July, after RCIPS officers and the Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Drug Enforcement Team conducted a search under the Firearms Act.
During a search of the man’s residence in Pleasant Drive, West Bay, officers arrested him on suspicion of possession of the bullet-proof vest.
He was subsequently granted bail.
