Police in Cayman Brac recovered “several packages” of cocaine, along the shoreline at the weekend.

Police conducted an “extensive” search after 7:30 pm on Saturday, a press release stated. Officers maintained watch in the area, supported by the Air Operations Unit helicopter, which conducted an aerial search of both Sister Islands.

No further packages were discovered.

The cocaine was “removed from Cayman Brac to be destroyed” according to police, who did not quantify how much of the drug they had recovered.

The RCIPS said they continue to encourage members of the public to call their district police station and report any suspicious package or activities they may encounter.
