Domino sets
Most people in Cayman will recognise the sound of a domino game in full swing. And for those who want to play with a bit of extra pizzazz, why not check out colourful resin domino sets, which look just as good sitting on your coffee table as they do being slammed into a winning game.
Jasmin Sumaroo handcrafts these domino sets, using an eight-step process, as part of Outlandish Cayman.
“These ones are quite the process,” she says. “We first pour the resin and add our pigments – I especially like to use alcohol inks and glitter. Then we take the pieces out of the molds, fill the holes in, give them a topcoat of resin, cure them and finally we sand them, polish them and package them up.”
Jasmin has been in the artisan field since the young age of 14, working in Cayman Craft Market during summer holidays and “hustling” her creations at school.
“I mainly sculpted keychains and jewellery back then, but I have dabbled here and there and found my preferred mediums are sculpture, resin and sewing. I do this full-time now and am always up to something new.”
Jasmin’s dominoes, as well as her other creations such as plushies and jewellery, are available at 3 Girls and a Kiln and Pure Art.
Macrame wall hangings
If your walls are calling for decor, and traditional artworks are not suffice, macrame wall hangings are a beautiful textured option.
Knot My Name creates a range of wall hangings, alongside a huge range of other items including plant hangers, macrame shelves, Christmas decor, earrings and baby mobiles.
“I love the way modern macrame looks and brings an element of softness to your home…I find macrame very relaxing, almost therapeutic and the creative process for me brings so much pride and joy,” says Sandra of Knot My Name.
“I have always been into knots from when I was a little girl creating friendship bracelets to a teenager creating hemp necklaces, bracelets, hair wraps (with knots) and wrapping and knotting the buckles of my Birkenstock sandals,” she continues. “The technique of creating these things when younger is the same technique I use for macrame – so the transition (when I discovered) macrame was quite natural for me.”
And if you’d like to try your hand at a double half hitch or square knot, why not make your own macrame? Sandra often offers two-hour macrame workshops at 3 Girls and a Kiln, and private workshops wherever hosts require. These workshops make a lovely activity to do at baby showers, wedding showers and general girls’ nights.
Knot my Name products can be purchased by emailing [email protected] or @knotmyname.ky on Instagram. All products are handmade to order and bespoke pieces are available.

Originally a lifestyle blog on Instagram, Tattianna Tibbetts has grown Lively You into a business selling products, including hand-poured candles, online and at markets, and now in a brick-and-mortar store on Smith Road.
“Since opening, we’ve gone from pouring candles in the corner of the guest room to expanding our production space and having a physical storefront where our customers can smell our candles in person,” she says.
Tattianna offers candles with delightful names such as Island Vibes, Mango Season and Banana Bread, all of which are hand-poured in small batches locally using 100% soy wax and phthalate-free fragrances.
“We are also the first candle company in the Cayman Islands to use solely wooden wicks in our candles and all of our candle scents are custom-blended which means that no other candle company will have a candle that smells exactly like ours,” explains Tattianna.
Eco-friendly labels using 100% Post Consumer Waste finish off the product, and Tattianna also offers a candle jar refill.
Alongside candles, wax melts and room sprays, Lively You sells a small selection of greeting cards, notebooks, notepads and sleep masks produced by small, mainly women-owned businesses.
Visit Lively You at 45 Smith Road or shop online at shoplivelyyou.com.
