The Cayman Islands Volleyball Federation hosted youth volleyball clinics at the Layman E. Scott High School on 1-2 Feb., continuing their campaign to develop youth volleyball in Cayman Brac.

The clinics were led by CIVF president Kennedy McGowan; technical director, Trevor Theroulde; and the high school’s PE teacher Aaron Pollard. The clinics were designed to teach the fundamentals of volleyball – serving, spiking, setting and digging.

Students also learned about how to play as a team and be effective leaders on the court. The federation will continue to develop volleyball in the Sister Islands with the aim of inspiring future national volleyball players.
