While those competing under the Cayman Islands Taekwondo Federation collected two dozen medals at the AAU Gold Coast Championship, another local taekwondo squad also won their fair share of silverware over the weekend.
Nine martial artists training under the Master Ronald Simpson taekwondo club participated at the 16th annual Florida International Taekwondo Championship, held at the Trinity High School Gymnasium.
They returned to Cayman on Sunday, 23 April, with every competitor earning at least one medal among the team’s haul of 14 gold, 13 silver and one bronze.
